So here it is my first blog post. I have contemplated doing this for such a long time but always decided against it. Ive never been considered an open book but maybe its time I am! I have so many ideas and things racing through my brain on a daily basis so this will be a perfect platform for me to spew them out.

 I'm a stay at home mom to a high energy little boy named Benson he just recently turned 3 right before Christmas. I am a wife to an amazing and supportive husband and a part time student at a local community college. I juggle the normal craziness of life mixed with fitness, trying to eat gluten and dairy free, trying to bring more natural options into to my home and trying to keep my creativity alive.

We live in Southern, Michigan and got 18 inches of snow dropped on us yesterday which by its self is interesting but add the below zero temps to the mix and it makes for a very long and interesting winter. We just camp out in the house and look out the window to the deceiving sunshine outside. This morning was a blast as I had to go check on our chickens and get any eggs before they freeze. I was so bundled up i could barely move. I picked up the sole egg from this morning only to crush it in my mutant gloves. Its so cold our 4 chickens are only giving us about 1 or 2 eggs a day total instead of the normal 4. So at this point I was annoyed from having to do everything twice or at a much slower rate due to my ridiculous amount of snow gear. Then it gets better!! We heat our home with wood so every morning i have to bring in enough wood to last the day. I went to open our sliding glass door and the handle completely broke off in my hand...fabulous. So that made the process of bringing in wood so much better. All in all it was only 1 bad hour of my day but still not a very fun way to start the day off.

Workout for the day is done, I try to knock it out first thing or the chances of it happening are slim. I do a mix of different things. I did a little yoga, strength training and HIIT this morning. I like things that are straight to the point to keep my interest.

That's about it for the day other than keeping Benson entertained and busy besides I think my post is spur-attic enough for one day!!!
